My residence is located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. The application for the absentee ballot can be downloaded online at (http://www.longdistancevoter.org/files/voter_forms/Pennsylvania_absentee_english.pdf). After completing the application, it has to be mailed to the County Election Office. There is a particular criterion one has to meet in order for that person to be eligible for the absentee ballot in Pennsylvania. The person has to serve in the military and/or the dependent of someone that serves in the military isn’t sure they will be present on Election Day. As well as the spouses to members of religious or welfare groups who serve for the armed forces. Also people that are eligible would be voters and/or electors which have other obligations making them incapable to vote such as events pertaining to business. Any war veteran that may be bedridden or hospitalized in any type of matter may also apply for the PA absentee ballot. Someone who is ill or physically disabled, and the spouse or dependent accompanying someone who may be employed by the Commonwealth or federal government are also eligible for the absentee ballot. Also a county employee who expects that his Election Day duties will prevent the employee from voting can apply for the absentee ballot. Lastly, someone that isn’t able to attend a polling location on Election Day due to a religious holiday is also eligible. The application for the absentee ballot must be received by the County Election Office by five p.m. on the Tuesday before the election. When the ballot is complete it must be sent back to the County Election Office. It is easy to apply for the absentee ballet in Pennsylvania because the application is downloadable and it can be sent into the same office in which the ballot will be sent after completed.
