4. What were the 3 main causes of the Vietnam War? Did President Johnson do a good job leading the country at this time? Why or why not?  
            The first reason was to try to stop the spread of communism. The U.S is a capitalist country who believes in the Domino Theory. Americans believe that of one country falls to communism the rest will fall too. The second reason was to help the French because they were getting raped. The third reason was to support South Vietnam because they couldn’t handle North Vietnam army or Vietcong. President Johnson did not do good leading the country during that time because he failed to lead the nation out of the quagmire of the Vietnam War. He had impressive domestic achievement but that wasn’t good enough.  

7. How did the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, alter Americans’ perceptions of their role in the world? Did the aftermath of the attacks seem to point toward the goal of greater American cooperation and engagement with the world, or toward a belief that the United States would have to act more decisively to protect its own national interests?  

            The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 altered American’s perceptions of their role in the world by no taking terrorism more seriously. Americans are ready to allocate unlimited attention and resources to countering any terrorist threat. People always thought the government was a joke and weren’t into politics but when the 9/11 attack happened they’re willing to cooperate with the government to help protect the nation from future attacks. Since the 9/11 attack airports have been stricter to protect the US from other airplane hijackings.
