Importance on Voting in the Philippines

Shut Up!! No one likes to hear that. It’s just playing rude. Not voting is like telling yourself to shut up! That would be me saying to myself “Janelle sshhhh with your opinions no body cares!” And why will you do that? Because I wouldn’t I got more respect than that. I want to have a better Philippines in 2010. You have no idea how big is the difference you can make as you vote in the 2010 elections.

Do you care about freedom of speech? Were you annoyed when you heard about the ZTE scandal? Did you even realize that hunger and poverty has become rampant here in the Philippines? Do you think that there’s just too much corruption in our government today? They’re just so many problems in the Philippines and if you care why don’t you go out and register to Vote!

But before you vote you have to register. I know some of you are already registered well that’s great! However, if your eighteen or turning 18 on the day of the elections, a Filipino citizen and resident of the Philippines for at least one year and not yet registered well what are you waiting for!? Go register! Here’s the thing! If you were able to line up to watch jabbawockeez live on stage or line up to buy Katy Perry concert tickets. I think lining up to register wont hurt right? You may not know how or where to register yet. That’s fine. You can register at your city hall, barangay hall or your village. Look at me I just registered.

You can download the application form from the COMELEC website which is or you can just bring your valid ID and they will give you an application form. Free of charge of coarse! After you have registered don’t loose the acknowledgement receipt it looks like this because this is your proof that you are registered. Because you will receive you voters ID after three years. So for the mean time you have to hold on to you acknowledgment receipt.
