Ephesians 1: 4, 5 “v.4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, v.5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”
In Paul's mind, everything exists and happens in accordance with God's predetermined plan and sovereign purpose -(Ephesians 1:11). In Romans 9:17-23, Paul anticipates the expected question, "Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will? (v. 19). He then provides the answer, "But who are you O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, 'Why have you made me like this?' Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honored use and another for dishonorable use?" (vv. 20-22). For many, this is not the answer they are looking for. Yet, this is the answer that Scripture supplies. The doctrine of predestination cannot be completely understood, for it is an act that resides in the mind of an infinite being, and we, as finite humans, cannot understand this. The apostle Paul mentioned and share it in “Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:4-5, John 6; Acts 13: 48.” Paul wanted to teach the Christians the principle of “Jesus in me and me in Jesus”; He knew that this principle will change Christians minds by understanding their past, present and future circumstances, goals, problems, obstacles, objectives, 2
purpose in life and daily routine, how? By having the conviction that predestination is one of the reasons to accept the truth of Christian living “Jesus in me and me in Jesus”, in other words, the people, the believers, the followers and disciples will learn to have a serious, personal and active relationship with God through Jesus, but first, they need to have this principle of “Jesus in me, and me in Jesus” so clear in their minds and hearts that it will be one of the bases of why they were made and create in the first place, this way of thinking will make Christians understand that they where create to accept this truth by predestination of what Jesus did for them, what Jesus is doing inside of them and what Jesus want to do through them. This relationship with God through Jesus will strongly influence them in how to act, think and feel. However, make predestination a theological principle instead of a holy life is a tragedy of thinking. Is important to have in mind the purpose and the goal of predestination that is holiness, no a privileged; “Ephesians 1:4b that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,”. Eventually, if we apply the meaning of predestination to all the scriptures, we will go trough deep questions with the starting points of “what, why and how”. But, The reason and purpose of this paper is to prove how predestination can lead us to a personal relationship with God, this personal relationship will reveal Gods plan and message for mankind.
Predestination means: the belief that everything that will happen has already been decide by God; the doctrine that God in consequence of his foreknowledge. To understand predestination we must begin to think like God, this is in most cases impossible. To begin to think like God we must understand of how God thinks and how God is. Gods word states “Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the...
