Lately, shows that are produced in the TV are reality TV shows. Through the years, Reality TV shows have scattered all over the TV we see aspiring models, fashion designers, artists, chefs etc. To become popular and it is a rather fast way to earn money and be seen by the public. But, the reality TV show that has caught my attention is Jersey Shore; it’s a show that puts 8 people in a house in New Jersey, the camera follows them as they continue with their daily lives. Which is mostly contained getting drunk, high and having sex. I was alarmed when my friends were talking about it one day. I was very surprised and concerned; I have younger brothers who are constantly glued to the TV. I don’t want them thinking that they can go on through with life without working and just slack off while partying. I really don’t think that Reality TV shows are low. They show these people who are more than welcome to show the world their lives like an open book and get all defensive when they are judged about their past. These reality TV shows are opening doors for pseudo- celebrities who have no real talent and are just making money from embarrassing their selves for our sake. It’s also not safe for their lives, a number of good looking reality TV stars have acquired a good number of stalkers and home robberies. A good example is Audrina Patridge who dealt with an obsessed male fan. Lisa Rinna’s store was robbed as she was highly publicizing her store during her show. This just shows how it is also unsafe for them to easily just expose their lives in front of the camera. But what bothers me the most is the effect of reality shows on minors. They think that showing too much skin is good. Drinking and driving is okay, having sex with anyone is perfectly fine. This isn’t how kids are supposed to look at life. They should learn how to play and have fun outside their houses, they aren’t supposed to be stuck at home watching TV, paying X-box,...
