Senior Management Team
Primary School/ Secondary – Headteacher
To lead and manage learning and teaching.(ensure the school operates in accordance with principles outlined with national and local authority) To lead and develop staff, children and young people.

To promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
To lead change and improvement (ensure that management, finances, organisation and administration of the school supports its vision and aims.) Efficient and effective use of staff and resources (monitor, evaluate and review the impact of policies, priorities and targets of the school in practice) Building community (positive partnerships with parents, staff and children)

Primary School / Secondary – Deputy Headteacher (The deputy headteacher acts as a "critical friend") Assisting the Head Teacher with managing the school day-to-day. Deputising in event of absence or urgent business.

Support the headteacher and governors in annual budget planning and monitoring Responsible for the professional and personal support of staff Contribute to the development of policy and planning for the school. (school timetable, planning of teaching groups, deployment of staff, school homework policy, planning staff development programmes) Teaching pupils in classroom setting.

Primary School / Secondary – Assistant Headteacher
Undertake the normal responsibilities of a class teacher
Be a member of the senior leadership team
Assist the headteacher in leading and managing the school
Undertake such duties as are delegated by the headteacher
Play a major role in formulating and reviewing the school improvement and the aims and objectives of the school

Help secure high standards of behaviour and attendance
Support the development of new and emerging technologies
Challenge underperformance at all levels
