Background
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a result of the two year long Jan Lokpal Movement which began as a fight of the common people against the biggest evil of the country- corruption. The movement resorted to several ways of protests like peaceful protests, courting arrests, indefinite fasting, several rounds of negotiations with the government etc. However, all these attempts went futile with the passing of modified version of proposed Jan Lokpal bill.
