A Thesis Proposal
The problem and it’s Background
Education problems in the Philippines are rampant and some are serious. Many believe that the quality of education has slowly been degrading. Educators attest that these problems may be due to a lot of factors. The government, on the other hand, is now employing different measures to improve the quality of education. In all the State of the Nation Address (SONA) speeches of President Benigno Aquino III, he would always stress that education problems are now lessened with the provision of additional rooms and chairs. But still, there are schools that are having problems with the number of rooms. This problem leads them to have reposition of classes. This means that classes are held into two sessions; one in the morning and another in the afternoon. People have different problems and issues regarding two sessions of classes. With DepEd issuing Memorandum Order No. 26 which states that classes will start at 6 or 7 in the morning on the regular class, schools are still left with no choice but to have two sessions; the other classes to start in the afternoon. This is due to the lack of rooms and teachers that many schools are suffering from. The researchers, in their effort of finding out the effects of the reposition of classes in the academic performance of pupils, will be conducting this research. They will be studying the Grade 2 pupils of Francisco P. Felix Elementary School Unit 1 who are experiencing this situation.
